Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Buff, a water bouget Azure debruised by a canton of the like charged with a mullet Argent voided of the field. Attached below the shield is a Silver scroll inscribed "PRIDE IN PERFORMANCE" in Blue letters.

Symbolism
Buff is the color for the Quartermaster Corps and Support units. As a Fumigation and Bath Battalion, the unit had the mission of providing these services for troops in Europe under combat conditions during World War II. This is symbolized by the water bouget, an ancient heraldic charge which represents the bygone soldiers' method of carrying water to camp. The silver star represents the five campaigns in which this unit participated. Blue alludes to the waters of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean and symbolizes the unit's original place of activation in Vancouver, Washington.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 308th Quartermaster Battalion on 10 August 1962. It was redesignated for the 308th Supply and Service Battalion on 15 March 1966. It was redesignated for the 308th Support Battalion with description and symbolism updated on 8 January 2007. The insignia was amended to correct the description on 22 March 2007.

From a wreath Argent and Buff, a tower Sable bearing below its battlements an escutcheon Or charged with a fleur-de-lis Celeste (Cannes Blue), superimposed across the base of the tower is a lion passant Gules.

Symbolism

Shield

Buff is a color traditionally associated with both Quartermaster and Support Battalions. The water bouget refers to the unit's history when it was a fumigation and bath/supply and service battalion. The water bouget is an ancient heraldic charge which alludes to the bygone soldiers' method of carrying water to camp. The silver star highlights the five campaigns in which this unit participated. Blue, suggests the waters of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean and underscores the battalion's original place of activation, Vancouver, Washington.

Crest

The lion, tower with its five merlons, and the fleur-de-lis on the shield commemorate the unit's war service and lineage in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe. The lion is a symbol of strength and courage, its color, red, is the color of valor and sacrifice. The tower and shield signify defense and military preparedness.

Background
The coat of arms was originally approved for the 308th Quartermaster Battalion on 10 August 1962. It was redesignated for the 308th Supply and Service Battalion on 15 March 1966. The insignia was redesignated for the 308th Support Battalion and amended to add a crest on 22 March 2007. It was amended to correct the blazon of the crest on 4 September 2007.
